The Southern California Mentoring Academy
(SCMA) was founded in June of 2006 by Dr.
Keichea Reever. In June of 2008, our founder was
nominated and voted in as the new Executive
Director of Sunrise Youth Services Center,
Incorporated (SYSC, Inc.). In February of 2009 the
SCMA officially became a division of SYSC, Inc.

We are a community-based organization that
strives to provide opportunities for youth to develop
their leadership skills through active civic
participation in the community.
